As a first step to enhance the diversity of services offered to readers and provide content to target audience in various means, Al Mal newspaper has introduced its application via mobile phone “Al Mal App”.
The application allows readers to browse the economic news of Al Mal easily after installing the software on their mobile phone devices according to a classification decided by the reader himself/herself.
The idea of Al Mal App is to offer a wide range of content categories according to economic sectors or main issues of public concern at a certain time such as the exchange rate crisis, for instance.
Based on category list, the reader would choose the themes, in which he/she is interested in to obtain them solely with the possibility of updating interests through adding /deleting to cope with his/her preferences.
Al Mal App sends notifications of news and reports on a “pay-as-you-go” basis while making the way to publication as desired by the reader. It also encompasses all features of Al Mal newspaper’s website including publishing content on social networking and posting comments.
For the best way to deal readily with the paper content, Al Mal App collects news, which the user’s time has not permitted a full reading in a special section that can be read later.
The system provides search tools according to news, sections and key issues, as well as instant updates for new issues.
Al Mal newspaper was established as a privately-owned weekly paper in 18 August 2002, and the first edition was issued on 16 March 2003.
As of 14 Jan. 2008, Al Mal was issued on daily basis, and the paper launched its portal “almalnews.com” in 2013
